BACK

OK.
after like a year hiatus, i finally remembered i had this little blog. sorry. heh.

so this is what happened since last year:
i left this blog, i became insanely in love w/ bands and stuff (i already was but i brought it to a new level of insanity) and then my mind was not on this anymore.

I now currently have a tumblr (greetingsfromjackie.tumblr.com) where you will be able to find all of my little daily clips of life and my ramblings on music I like, clothes I like, people I like, my homework etc.

I'd like to thank those people who commented my last post telling me to come back. I dedicate all of my new posts to you guys.

JUST SO YOU KNOW. I'm going to be VERY busy with school, I'm now a sophomore in high school, yay, and these 2 years are going to be the busiest apparently. Right now in fact, I'm supposed to be writing a speech, but of course, me being me, I'm not.
I should though.

I love you all (:

I Think I'm going to take a break from blogging

I'm gonna take a break.

I've been really busy with school and friends and clubs and sports and everything else, so I don't really have a lot of time for this.

I'll post when I get a chance!

Love you all!

I have been terribly busy with school work, but no fear, I'll be posting an outfit soon (hopefully).

Ooh, the Spanish influence on this picture is so fascinating. I love it. I want tomato red tights and a ridiculous red cape. Maybe I'll even get some red flowers...

Sick :[ (a scarf post)

Ah, I'm sick. I've been sick. In fact, I've been sick for about a week now.

The things I do for fashion's sake: wearing sandals and shorts on a day when it's raining and about 50 degrees. I'm not sure if that counts as crazy, but I was pretty cold... it doesn't help that I sit right next to the air conditioner in a freezing room in one of my classes...

Alright, enough of my complaining. So I haven't been wearing anything nice lately, mostly some variation of a t-shirt, jeans, and a hoodie or cardigan.

So, the last post, I talked about a girl in my art class who always wore a scarf. In fact, the technical term for what she wears is a "keffiyeh." I didn't know that until a few days ago. I always knew that many in the middle-east wore those scarves, but I just didn't know what they were called. But, I don't wear keffiyehs... I don't really have a reason, I just don't. I don't really know the reason behind why people wear it so I don't want to wear it wrong.

But, there are always different scarves to wear to stay warm and to look very adorable. For example:

I absolutely love the color of the scarf and the contrast it creates compared to the rest of the outfit. Ah...

Outfit #1

Ah, it's time for my first outfit post... I'm not sure if it's amazing, since compared to most of yours, it's not very interesting or unique at all. So, forgive me if I've let anyone down.

t-shirt: h&m
tank (underneath. i don't think you can see it here): aeropostale
jeans: delias
shoes: steve madden
scarf: somewhere in china...

This picture is so creepy. It looks like I only have one arm...

There's this one girl in my art class who wears a scarf every single day. I just thought it was really hilarious, so I wore one too. So, I think I wore this Wednesday? It was the one day that I carried a bag for my school supplies, and I had to constantly change the shoulder that the bag was on because my shoulder was dying. I'm not sure if it was the rope as the handles or if it was the overall weight of the bag that caused all my soreness. There's really no point in that little tidbit of info there, just my complaining.

I was watching The O.C. on dvd today (season 1) and it reminded me of this song that I love so much:

Two summers ago, I was so in love with this song. It was on constantly on my iPod. When I went to my friend's house, I downloaded it onto her iPod and made her play it too.

Song: Forever Young
Artist: Youth Group (covered by Youth Group. originally by Alphaville)

Birthday, First Day

Today was my birthday, yay.

Today was also the first day of school.

The good thing about having the my birthday on the first day of school is that I get to see all of my friends again. The down side is that I sort of forgot it was my birthday. Ha.

I got a camera which is always nice. It's the same kind as the one that I broke all those months ago, so it's good since I already know how to use it. And I plan on doing an outfit post (finally) because now I have both a tripod and a Samsung Digimax L85.

Btw, the cupcake is from a place called Kara's Cupcakes- or at least I think it is, I found it off of google.

I also watched Atonement the other day. I guess it was interesting. Sort of boring. The clothing at the beginning of the movie was so beautiful and light.

Picture of the Day (or rather, pictures of the day):

Ooh, that bag is fancy. I wish I could carry a bag like that in real life and be really overly extravagant. I would love to see what kind of little fun toys she carries around in there.

Doesn't her bed just look so crisp and comfy?

I Think I May Be Going Insane

I have been so absolutely insanely bored these past few days. I thought I would love my last few days of summer- I have no where to go and I have nothing to do. Hold that thought. I have tons of work to do. I have to write an essay on why the Electoral College should or should not be abolished. I also have to finish reading my summer reading book: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn.

Don't ask me if it's any good, because I won't answer honestly. On one hand, it's nicely written. On the other hand, I really just want to stab it until all the words fall off of the page. When I was eager to read it, the pages were messed up and I had to wait two weeks until Barnes and Noble could get the right copy in. Now I just want to be done with it all.

Another reason why I'm going insane: I was actually going to take a picture of my outfit today. Yay! So I tell my dad I'm going to go out and take pictures and then he reminds me that I left my (old ugly fat horrible quality) camera at my friend's house.

I almost died then and there.

On a side note: As of lately, I have become so fascinated with cardigans. Maybe not fascinated, maybe just in love. I think it's so wonderful that you can just throw on a cardigan and it will add a whole new dimension to an outfit. It can make something look so casual or so dressy and put together.

On my quest for the perfect cardigan, I've discovered that Anthropologie has some that are quite quirky and wonderful. Too bad I can't afford any of it. Time to save.
